SYNOPSIS
Dr. Lily Houghton enlists the aid of wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff to take her down the Amazon in his ramshackle boat. Together, they search for an ancient tree that holds the power to heal -- a discovery that will change the future of medicine.
IS IT WORTH TO WATCH JUNGLE CRUISE?
It is good fun, an entertaining ride packed with monsters, magic and awful puns. Dwayne Johnson, as the steamboat captain Frank, makes terrible jokes and his chemistry with trouser-wearing botanist Lily (Emily Blunt) while not sizzling, is good natured and family-friendly. And he also has the sweetest jaguar for a pet.
WHAT IS THE CURSE IN JUNGLE CRUISE?
Frank, Aguirre, and their comrades are bound to the river for eternity. This means they must keep to the riverbed, or near enough to it, lest they be pulled back. In the end, Frank makes a sacrifice that leads him to be dried out and bound like Aguirre is when we first see him.
WHAT IS THE CLIMAX OF JUNGLE CRUISE?
During the film's climax, MacGregor kills Joachim but in the most unlikely way. Squaring off against the German, a falling piece of rock crushes him and thwarts the (admittedly lacklustre) threat he's been posing all film.
HOW DID JUNGLE CRUISE END?
In the end, MacGregor bravely killed Joachim, and Lily successfully saved a petal for her research. Frank sacrificed his life and steered the boat to block the river so that curse would seize Aguirre and his deadly mates.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF JUNGLE CRUISE?
The attraction simulates a riverboat cruise down several major rivers of Asia, Africa and South America. Park guests board replica tramp steamers and are taken on a voyage past many different Audio-Animatronic jungle animals. The tour is led by a live Disney cast member delivering a humorous scripted narration.
WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND JUNGLE CRUISE?
It tells the alternate history of the captain of a small riverboat who takes a scientist and her brother through a jungle in search of the Tree of Life while competing against a German expedition and cursed conquistadors. Plans for a feature film based on the Jungle Cruise ride began in 2004.
